How do I go about writing a poem without a rhyming scheme? - Creative Writing
How do I go about writing a poem without a rhyming scheme? My creative writing teacher assigned us to write a poem. This is the second one. My first poem rhymed so I don't want this one to. How would I go about writing a poem that doesn't rhyme? Thanks in advance!
I really admire good writers most especially poetics. They apparently have great minds to think of good ideas to make up a poem. Well, we usually see poems with so much rhyming scheme. I personally like it when I was a child. But as I grow old, I appreciate more of those poems that are simply prose. So when you write, just write what's within in you. Simple as it is.
Poem is not about the Rhyming technique you've got, well, poem is not based upon how great your rhyming skills are, it is how you actually construct a great poem that substantially has the story one it. In world Literature , there are certain poems that are not all rhyming but it conveys a good meaning and interpretation to the one how should rally read it and makes it important too.
Poetry is one of the most uneasy literature I know. I really pay a lot of tribute to people that can make a good poem fro the hands and minds they have. I have been practicing great in order for me to be at ease with field. I am looking forward to write a poem about friendship and I plan to finished it next month. I hope it will be finished soon.
Although the general structure of poems are rhyming ones, there are some poems out there which doesn't apply such techniques. I think you will find luck in pursuing poetry without the tried and tested formula. Good luck on your literary venture.
| I would suggest you look up a few how tos on the importance of meter in poetry, and how to include good meter, then study a few classic poems with the meter in mind, preferably the style you want to write in, then just start writing, even if it sucks at first, just keep editing it and changing it until you are satisfied with every line and every word.
