Yahoo! Answers: Editor job after college? - Creative Writing
| Yahoo! Answers: Editor job after college? So i am going to a California Community College now, and am transferring to UC Riverside to complete my Bachelor's degree at the start of the Fall 2012 semester. I am going to major in Creative Writing, and I would like some advice to be able to get a job as a book editor and author after I graduate. Any advice for me? Might get Master's degree too. Please no rude, or unnecessary comments. |
| The best advice I can give is to just write, write, write. No amount of study is going to replace someone who has a lot of writing experience, not even reading all the classics will do that for you. If you put enough time into developing your writing skills, then it will pay off even if you have absolutely no talent to begin with. It's the 10, 000 hour rule. Look it up. |
