| MLA format question about page correctly citing page numbers? I am writing an essay on a short story. I have three short quotes in one of my body paragraphs that are all from the same page of the story. So, there is a quote and then I am writing some of my own words, another quote, and so on. Do I just put the page number behind the first quotation, or do I cite it on the last quotation that I use!? Hopefully that made sense:) |
| I think you have to put numbers on each quotation and then just put them in a citation at the bottom ( you can do it for the three of them together). Or to be sure you can consult some sites that can help you with referencing styles. I had the same problem before but it only made clear when I studied it carefully. I know it's really confusing. But don't worry they have all the answers to your questions. Try Google, it can help you. |
