Questions: Help with security issue with my Mac? - Short Stories
| Questions: Help with security issue with my Mac? So long story short my MSN hotmail account got hacked and it sent out an email containing a link to several of my contacts. Apparently it was a spam link selling viagra and other male enhancers lol. I had accidentally clicked it though before i realized what it was and I am now worried that when I visited the website it could have infected my mac with any type of spyware, malware, trojans, viruses etc. I was wondering if anybody knew of good programs out there that would scan my mac to make sure it's not infected or any signs I could look for that would hint it was infected. I currently have the free version of iAntiVirus but I am not too sure how well it works. Any help would greatly be appreciated :D |
| I actually have the same problem. I could not really remember where exactly did I get those mails from. Exactly the same emails like yours Picariello. I remembered one time, I was like sending my resume to some email add I got from an organization that are posting some job hirings. I couldn't recall anymore who precisely sent me those messages. I am really worried that they might send me viruses, too. Please help me. Thank you. |
