| Questions: This guy is such a Debbie-Downer. :/? So, I met this guy about 3 weeks ago at a school football game. He seemed nice, well put together--& then I got to know him. Long story short, he is SO NEGATIVE. I try to help him, but he just keeps making up excuses, y'know? & I told him TWICE , "You have to help yourself before anyone else can help you." & he says that he evidently "knows" that but he doesn't think he ever will help himself. Okay, so, what the heck right? He only focuses on the negative & just today I told him his problem is his negative attitude. & he goes & denies it. :/ I'm really getting tired of this whole thing with him. It's human nature to be sad and sometimes dwell on negative points in life--but people get over them! He doesn't ever think positive it seems!!! I even told him what he's describing to me is depression. & guess what he basically does--denial/excuses. Don't get me wrong, I like helping people with their problems-I'm even thinking about going into psychology! but this guy is totally different. It seems like he doesn't even want help, he just want pity. & I'm getting tired of it. What do I do about him? |
| Trust me, you should avoid him at all cost. It is already bad that not all days are good days for us but having a negative person with you each day will definitely make your life worse. Having a negative person with you will also attract negativity in your life and in your mind. You might end up being like him instead of him being like you. It is always helpful to see the glass as half full instead of half empty. Adopting a positive frame of mind attracts blessings and good luck. |
| You did your part to help a friend. You became a good listener, counselor, and adviser to him. If he still doesn't change into a positive person well let it be. It's his choice. Perhaps you're not that powerful to really change him. Keep being nice to him. In the end, he will still come to realize to see those people who have touched his life and strived to make him better. |
| You cannot just change a person in just a blink of an eye. There had to bee so much work to do not just for you but for him as well. But being a good friend to him, you have to have long patience towards him. Never give up on him. Do not loose hope until he come to realize his fault and eventually change. | Hi there! I never encountered that kind of attitude, being negetive is the most least a human can do. I mean, everbody has their own problem, what makes them differ from others is how they manages their problem. I think, you should not waste your time helping others if truely speaking, they do not need your help at all. Thank you so much and have a great day to all of you guys! |
| Hi there! I really do not like personally , people that are negative.They get into my nerves everytime I see them. I think being negative attracts negative vibes. And negative vibes really ruins my life. I hope this people will get tried and realize that they are not living well with that kind of attitude, I swear.
